Crawlspace was supposed to join the GI Joe Team just when they were decommissioned. He continued his Black Ops under numerous agencies, constantly gathering information, setting surveillance, but it is unclear whether he was responsible for classified wetworks.

It is undisclosed when Crawlspace teamed up with Misfit. A rarity in French thought, Misfit is a French Hawk. Sickened by complacency and ineffectiveness, Misfit's progeny is in the Free France Resistance and Diem Bien Phu. It is unclear who trained her in both espionage and computer warfare, but the duo team has worked together on numerous ops with an unofficial success rate.

When the GI Joe team was reinstated, Crawlspace and Misfit were asked to join, but turned down the opportunity. Subsequently, it is rumored that there is an item line in the Joe Budget that was approved by Hawk and run by Duke under the heading Home Wiring and Fish out of Water.
