CLIFF JUMPER’s parents were killed when he was a child, leaving him in the care of his grandfather who was member of the German Gebirgsjäger, and who still clung to Nazi propaganda from nearly a half-century before. These ideals had a lasting impression on Cliff Jumper, and they also landed him in out of a juvenile detention centers and eventually led him to join COBRA. He dreamed of becoming a mountain trooper like his grandfather, but was instead assigned to the Range-Vipers. During a long range recon, an ill placed grenade caused a rock slide, all but ending the mission. He used the skills he learned from his grandfather to traverse the rubble and save the operation. This caught the eye of Skull Buster who immediately recommended Cliff Jumper for reassignment to the Rock-Vipers.
